What is the difference between an intern and a volunteer?
There
is a learning component involved in each internship whether provided
through the intern’s academic institution or the Denver Rescue
Mission. An internship is often intended to lend experience to
a future career. In addition, an intern typically commits more time
per week
to serving at the Denver Rescue Mission.
Do interns get paid?
We are able to provide a $100 monthly stipend for those interning full
time (40 hours per week).
Who is eligible for the tuition reimbursement?
A tuition
reimbursement of $200 per month is available to Servant Corps interns
only. The reimbursement is directly paid to your college/university
or lending company at the completion of your internship.
Do interns receive free housing? Housing accommodations are provided
at The Crossing for full-time interns at Denver Rescue Mission facilities
located in Denver and on-site at
Harvest Farm for full-time Harvest Farm interns.
