The Denver Rescue Mission's chief goal is to meet people at their
physical and spiritual points of need. We accomplish this in unique ways
through our various programs and outreaches.
The Mission has four residential facilities:
The Crossing
Transitional housing for New Life program residents,
post-graduates and homeless families; housing for interns and visitors.
Lawrence Street
A men's shelter with 110 overnight beds, and primary outreach location
offering meals, clothing, free health care, Client Services, a long-term
rehabilitation program, and an education center.
Champa House
A safe, loving home for single mothers desiring self-sufficiency, and
their children. Amenities include 10 apartments, on-site childcare, common
living area, long-term rehabilitation program, and educational opportunities.
Harvest Farm
A rural rehabilitation facility for men, located in Wellington, Colorado.
Sixty men reside on the 100-acre working farm, which features a comprehensive
long-term rehabilitation program including on-site education and work
training. The farm also offers Client Services, a youth camp, and corn maze.
These three facilities offer the five-phase New
Life program, lasting
from 7 to 27 months. Participants pursue career goals, spiritual and
personal growth, and educational objectives. On-site Literacy
and Education Centers (LEC) educate residents for life with academic education,
vocational studies, and life skill courses such as anger management
and personal finance.
Family Rescue Ministry
A program designed to help provide permanent housing for homeless, working
families. The program serves single parents and legally married couples
who are either working, receiving permanent disability, or are refugees, and have at least one child under the age of 18 living
with them, and who are free from drug and alcohol addictions.
